For unto us a Savior is born!

Do you think there are more mass shootings than ever before? Not true…they are the decline. But this means nothing to those 26 families who lost loved ones in Newtown! We celebrate Christmas tomorrow; have you thought once of those 20 families that already had presents under Christmas trees for their children who were gunned down by an evil-driven man? I have cried since the tragedy happened, and I believe Jesus has cried also, as He did at the grave of His friend Lazarous. Jesus Christ is the light of the world, all other is darkness. For unto to us a Savior is born, for “at one time we [sinners] were darkness, but now we [Christians] are light in the Lord.” (Ephesians 5:8). The world hated Jesus and killed Him. Conversly, Jesus loved the world and died for it. The question for each of us is this: to whom will we come? To Jesus as our personal Savior? or, to the world ruled by the evil one? Though loved by Jesus, the majority will turn away and hate Him and His followers. America, once a Christian nation, is sliding away at break-neck speed; every Christmas reveals the many attacks on the Christ child…attacks every bit as deadly as the awful deaths of those 20 children in Newtown, who now are in the loving hands of Jesus. Will our nation wake up? What is in it for the God haters to breakdown our celebration of the birth of the Savior of all mankind? What is in it for them? Do they gain anything meaningful? No! So, they won’t stop me! I say to all, Merry Christmas! …for unto us a Savior is born and His name is Jesus who is the Christ!

Guns are not the problem, it is the heart that is!

What have we learned from Newtown’s tragedy? …and from the many other attacks such as the recent attacks on volunteer firemen and police officers that put their lives on the line for us? Many have learned nothing! NOTHING!! We currently have the diversional debate of gun control which will only bring much more death! The national media doesn’t have a clue or they simply chose to ignore the facts. Most of all the school shootings have been in gun free zones while so-called assault rifles were banned. In 2011, rifles accounted for less deaths than hands & feet! Worldwide and in the USA, the facts are that murders actually rise when guns are removed from law abiding citzens; the proof is available, look beyond emotions for truth. Don’t you fall for the trap of gun control; it is NOT about guns but about control over the people. The whole mess is a diversion over the real problem; it is a problem of the heart. Why would all these evil people (yes, I said evil people) why would they take innocent lives and then kill themselves? Why not just go kill themselves if they hate this world so much? They don’t kill themselves over their remorse for killing the innocent…they have no remorse! Their hearts are hardened. Satan drives hate and creates evil; it is the evil within that kills the innocent. These killers have only hate and their easiest mark is upon the innocent. It is a darkness over the land. Hitler took out the churches, removed the guns, and then took over the people in mindless hate. I fear we are on the same path! We are busy to bring down the Christian, to remove our only Savior Jesus Christ, to remove the law-abiding guns to protect us from evil man and government, and then to teach all to hate various societial groups in a stew of class-envy. It is all sinful and very ugly! We will be doomed if we don’t turn back to Jesus Christ, the Way, the Truth, the Life and the Light of the world! At Christmas time we should be about welcoming the Chist child who came into the world as Savior to show us the way back to God; He, a sinless man, who took our sins and made them His own that we might become righteaous to come back to God. Any deviation from this very path is THE REAL PROBLEM.

Understanding Newtown, Connecticut…don’t blame God

Often with these senseless tragedies, people will ask why did God let this happen, or worse…why did God do this? God is not the author of hate, evil, sadness and the tragic death of children. God loves, but there is evil in the world, uncreated by God. Mankind messed up God plan by following fallen angels rather than God. Today, we seem to kick out God and desire to follow the god of the culture. It will always fail. The hate and destruction this one boy dumped on 26 sets of loving families, on a town, and on a nation was not created by God. Though sought out, there is no closure of a loss such as this. Yes, this was already a gun-free zone, yes the school had just upgraded their security, yes there was already a ban on so-called assault weapons; the only thing that will work to save our children, our loved ones, our nation is to turn back to God and learn how to love one another…again.

Newtown, Connecticut's Bad Tree

The book, “A Different Kind of Tree”, is about growth, where you find nourishment, and what kind of fruit you bear. The destroyer of Newtown, Connecticut’s innocent was “a tree” with roots deep into rocky desert ground. Ground that will generally only form dry twisted dead trees. No one can kill 20  six to seven year old children without being completely dead inside. All the so-called experts will be giving us all the societal reasons for this mental illness, but I contend an evil “tree” as this boy, was grown. Grown in a land that has rejected Jesus Christ, a land that is selfish and unloving, a land of relativity where no absolutes exist…no right and no wrong. We have created a dry “land”, devoid of the nourishment of civility, of humility, of decency, of sensitivity, and of consideration of others. We now experience the most ugly vile words normalized in our everyday speech. Ugly words, ugly dress, ugly music, ugly video games, ugly thought…they all add up to ugly actions. It all adds up to a haze of disbelief of what life is, and an awful “reverse arrogance”…the evil in Newtown probably thought that no one loved him, no one understood him, nobody cared for him, and that the whole world was against him. We have seen these tragic events before. There is only one way out…better nourishment can be found…instead of kicking Jesus Christ out of our culture, we need to turn back toward Him. Then and only then will we learn how to properly love others again.
