We are all sinners. Those that hate Christians like to think and debate that Christians are all self-righteous. No, we are all sinners, but we know that Jesus came to take away our sins if we would only receive Him and believe in His Holy Name. The price for you has already been paid, but you must accept the precious gift redeemed by His blood on the cross. Our true response must be as the tax collector in Luke 18 said in verse 13, “God, be merciful to me, a sinner!”
So, Jesus came for everybody? Yes! Why would He come for a bunch of sinners? Love! Christ Jesus loves you and heaven rejoices for each one person who comes to Him! When Jesus saw Zacchaeus (Luke 19), He said, “I must stay at your house today”; the town’s folk grumbled that Jesus was going to be a guest of a sinner. But it was the town’s folk who remained sick and Zacchaeus who had a radical change to new life. Jesus came to seek out the lost and save them.
Similarly, Jesus came for those who could not produce accomplishments nor have any achievements. Those people that are either too young or have mental impairments whereby their efforts to understand are diminished, and all they can do is have a simple open child-like trust in Christ Jesus (Luke 18:15-17).
“Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so…”
It is not too late, as one of the thieves crucified with Christ found out, to turn to Christ, repent, ask for mercy and believe . I know the Bible says this will all sound foolish to most of the world, but I know beyond a shadow of doubt that it is true. No other religion had eye-witnesses to the actual events and then died a martyr’s death for the truth they fastly held. Peace and Grace to you!
