You are NOT a Speck!

Some say that because there are many other planets, it is likely that there are other beings out there…other life in this Universe…just because it is so vast, so many probabilities, it has to be so.

Now, some say you are just a speck in this vast Universe…that you are not an individual, you are one of millions and billions on this planet earth and there are trillions more out in this Universe.  They celebrate the fact that we are of no consequence…why?  Do you believe this?  Do you think they are right?

Humanism paints a bleak picture of no hope. We labor in vain, it is never ending and for what? …gas is a jillion dollars…I can’t find a job…my mother is yelling at me…a June bug buzzed me last night…dust to dust…and on top of all that…I am but a speck in the Universe…nobody knows I am even here nor do they care.

My friends, there is nothing in the Bible about life on other planets…please don’t fall for all that junk.  You were created a little lower than the angels!  You were known before you were formed in the womb and before the foundation of the world!  How dare you feel small.  How dare you feel of no consequence and of no value.  How dare you feel you are nothing more than a speck in the universe!

Read 1 Corinthians 2:16.  It tells us that YOU have been given “the mind of Jesus”!  “The Scriptures ask, Has anyone ever known the thoughts of the Lord or given Him advice?  But we [Christians] understand what Christ is thinking.”  To understand what Christ is thinking is to have a relationship!  To understand is to be very close!

Read Colossians 2:2+3.  It tells us that He [Jesus] is the key to God’s mystery.  “And they [Christians] will truly know Christ.  Not only is He the key to God’s mystery, but all wisdom and knowledge are hidden away in Him.”

So why am I pressing these verses?  “…to keep you from being fooled by fancy talk.” (Colossians 2:4)  Humanism will try to pull you away from these Bible verses.  The bottom-line is: Would God provide this access to know the mind of Christ and the responsibility to know God’s mystery to a person of no consequence, a person unloved, a person of no value?  Of course not! You have great worth! You are loved!  Now, what is your response to this truth going to be?
